Frequently asked
questions
What do I actually get when I buy?
Two videos, both yours forever. Psionics (1h 48m) is the full film — the filmmakers' version, with extended interviews and additional interviews not in the public release. The Extras (2h 40m) is a second feature-length piece with extended and additional interviews that did not make the public release. Almost five hours of content in total, on any device, with subtitles in seven languages. Neither video is available on Amazon, Apple TV, or Google Play — they are exclusive to psionics.film.
When can I watch the film?
Psionics is available exclusively on psionics.film from the 2026 launch date. A shorter public release lands on major streaming platforms later in 2026.
What's the difference between the film and the public release?
There are two videos available on psionics.film. Psionics (1h 48m) is roughly twenty minutes longer than the public release, and includes extended interviews and additional interviews not in the public release. The Extras video (2h 40m) contains additional extended interviews that did not make the public release. Neither video is available on Amazon, Apple TV, or Google Play — they are exclusive to psionics.film. Psionics stays exclusive to psionics.film. Permanently.
What's the credit deadline?
14 September 2026. After that date, the final master goes to platforms and no further names can be added to the credit roll. There is no extension.
Where will my credit appear?
Backer and Associate Producer credits appear on the public release of Psionics on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and Google Play later in 2026. Associate Producers also get an entry on IMDb under their name.
Why doesn't my credit appear on the film?
Psionics is already locked. We mastered it during production. Credits go on the public release, which gets a single final master with all credited names baked in before delivery to platforms in August 2026.
Can I gift a credit?
Yes. When you purchase on the Backer or Associate Producer page, select 'Someone else (gift)' and enter the name you want credited. You pay, they get the credit.
Can I watch on my TV?
Yes. The easiest options: (1) Chromecast — open psionics.film on your phone, sign in, go to the player, and tap the Chromecast icon to cast to your TV. (2) Laptop + HDMI — sign in on your laptop and connect to your TV with an HDMI cable. (3) AirPlay — on iPhone, use AirPlay to mirror to an Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV. (4) Smart TV browser — if your TV has a built-in browser, open psionics.film directly. Roku does not have a browser, so screen mirroring from your phone is the best option for Roku users. A native streaming app is on the roadmap.
Is this a subscription?
No. You pay once. There are no recurring charges. Own and credit tiers give you permanent access to your account, including all future bonus content.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link, processed by Stripe.
I keep getting an error when I try to pay. What should I do?
The error is coming from your card or bank, not from us. You have not been charged. A few things that usually fix it: (1) Try a different card. (2) Use Apple Pay or Google Pay at checkout — these often go through when a card does not. (3) Call your bank and ask them to approve a transaction to psionics.film — banks sometimes block unfamiliar online merchants automatically. Once a payment goes through you will receive a direct link to watch both films by email.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes on the Own tier, within fourteen days of purchase if you have streamed less than ten minutes of the film. Backer and Associate Producer tiers are non-refundable after the credit is submitted and approved. See the full refund policy. See the full refund policy.
The film keeps stopping or buffering. What should I do?
This is almost always a temporary dip in your internet speed rather than a problem with the film itself. The player automatically adjusts quality to your connection, and backtracking a little gives it a moment to load more video ahead, which usually resolves it. A few things that help: (1) If you are on Wi-Fi, move closer to your router, or try a wired connection if you can. (2) Close other tabs, apps, and any downloads running in the background. (3) Refresh the page and pick up where you left off. Your access is saved and permanent, so there is no rush if you would rather continue later on a stronger connection.
Can I download the film?
No. Stream-only to prevent piracy. Lifetime owners can stream as often as they want, on any device, with no expiry.
I received an email from 'Link' asking me to verify my email. What is this?
That email is from Stripe Link, which is Stripe's built-in payment wallet. It has nothing to do with accessing the film. You can ignore it entirely. Your Psionics access is separate — check your inbox for an email from hello@psionics.film with a 'Watch now' button. That is the email you need. If you did not receive it, go to psionics.film/account/sign-in and enter the email address you used at checkout to get a new sign-in link.
I bought it but cannot log in. What now?
First, check that you are using the same email address you used at checkout. The sign-in link is sent to that address only. If you are opening the link on your phone, try opening it in Safari or Chrome directly rather than inside the Gmail or email app — some in-app browsers strip the sign-in token and loop you back to the sign-in page. If the link has expired (it is valid for one hour), go to psionics.film/account/sign-in and request a new one. Still stuck? Use the contact form and we will sort it out within a few hours.
I use a university or work email and the sign-in link always says it has expired.
University and corporate email systems often automatically scan links for security before you can click them. This consumes the one-time sign-in token before you can use it. The fix: use the contact form to let us know your preferred personal email address (Gmail, iCloud, etc.) and we will send your sign-in link there instead. Your account stays registered to your original email, but you can receive links at any address.
I clicked the sign-in link but the page just spins and never loads.
This usually happens with ProtonMail. ProtonMail scans links before you click them, which uses up the one-time sign-in token before your browser can use it. The fix: long-press the button in the email, select 'Copy Link', then paste it directly into Safari or Chrome. Do not click the button — copy and paste it instead. If the link has already expired, go to psionics.film/account/sign-in and request a new one.
The sign-in link keeps sending me back to the sign-in page.
This is a known issue when opening the link inside the Gmail app or another email app's built-in browser on mobile. The fix is simple: open the sign-in link in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) instead. Long-press the button in the email, copy the link, and paste it into your browser. Alternatively, open your email on a desktop browser and click the link from there. If you need a fresh link, go to psionics.film/account/sign-in and enter your email again.
Will there be subtitles?
Yes. Subtitles are available in seven languages: English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish. These are AI-generated subtitles and are good but not perfect — they may contain minor errors for proper nouns and technical terms (CE-5, NHI, etc.). We are refining them over time.
Where is the premiere?
The premiere will be held in London, later in 2026. Associate Producers receive a personal invitation. Date, venue, and dress code will be communicated in advance via email. Travel and accommodation are at your own arrangement.
